Thanks to the loyal patronage of so many people, in 2015 Yanagiya Honten commemorates its 400th anniversary and has now begun its fifth century in existence. As Japan's oldest cosmetics manufacturer, since our founding in 1615 we have made it our mission to take quality a step further. Our success in adhering to this philosophy has earned the trust of our customers and is the very reason Yanagiya Honten exists today. As we enter our fifth century, we pledge to continue our pursuit of the next plateau in quality and to offer beauty and peace of mind to our customers in order to maintain your trust.
In honor of the 400th anniversary of our founding, we have designed a new corporate brand logo. We've retained the "genjikou" mark HANACHIRUSATO, and added the Latin alphabet representation of our company name - YANAGIYA - to symbolize our intent to develop operations worldwide. To represent the store curtain from the time of our founding, we've chosen a deep indigo as our corporate color. Taking on all new challenges while always holding in the highest esteem the company's long, rich tradition, it is our hope to develop YANAGIYA into a cosmetic brand loved the world over.
