Actress Aining Yao (姚愛寗) has been appointed as the image character for "Yanagiya Apricot Oil" in Taiwan
On Feb. 9, 2018, Yanagiya Honten Co., Ltd. has appointed Aining Yao (姚愛寗), a Taiwanese actress, as the image character for our hair oil brand "Yanagiya Apricot Oil" in Taiwan.
Her appointment is because of the attractiveness of the actress, Aining Yao, who has a dignified appearance behind her cuteness. And her crystal-clear and pure image that matches to the image of "Yanagiya Apricot Oil" made us appoint her as our image character in Taiwan.
Aining Yao (姚愛寗, known as "Pipi") is a young actress who is expanding her range of activity not only in Taiwan but also in Japan. Starting from March, she is going to promote our products as our brand ambassador in every promotion campaign such as advertisements and at storefronts in Taiwan.
For this appointment, we received a comment from her expressing that she has always been very fond of the atmosphere of Japanese long-established shops and the craftsmanship of artisans. This time, she is truly looking forward to working with Yanagiya Honten, a company with a long history.
For Yanagiya Honten, Taiwan has been a place with a strong connection as we have been selling our products there for more than half a century. In Japan, actress Umika Kawashima (川島海荷) was appointed as the image character of the same brand in 2015. With this appointment, we would like to entrust these two actresses with our brand concept and the appeal of a pure image again in both Japan and Taiwan.
"Yanagiya Apricot Oil", which is made from extraction of apricot seeds, is currently being sold domestically and internationally as a non-drying oil that protects and moisturizes the hair. With its light finish and faint fragrance of apricot, it has been widely supported by women in their 20s and 30s since its launch.
